US President Barack Obama has landed in Canberra
The blue and white Air Force One touched down at 3.09pm, with the president stepping out alone for his first official visit to Australia.
President waved to onlookers as he made his way down the stairs to be welcomed by Prime Minister Julia Gillard, Governor-General Quentin Bryce, Australia’s ambassador to the US Kim Beazley and the US ambassador Jeffrey Bleich.
He was received warmly by Ms Bryce before he greeted Ms Gillard with a kiss on both cheeks.
